This teaching session is an opportunity for participants to become familiar with the needs of college students who represent the next generation of restorative justice professionals. Most students enter the course with no knowledge of even the basic concepts and principles of restorative justice. In order to move them from a retributive perspective to a restorative perspective, there needs to be a paradigm shift in the classroom.
Participants will develop the skills to design a college-level restorative justice course syllabus and create course assignments. Examples of course assignments will be discussed and practiced.
